In game one of a day/night doubleheader between the Seattle Mariners and the Detroit Tigers, Mariners catcher Luis Torrens took to the mound in the 10th inning and, after the contest ended 7-6 in Seattle's favor, was awarded the win. Amazingly, this memorable mound-appearance marks the first time a position player has recorded a win in Mariners franchise history.
