CLUB SLAMS FOUR HOMERS EN ROUTE TO GAME 1 VICTORY

Last night, the San Diego Padres met the NewYork Mets for Game 1 of the National League Wild Card Series and belted an astonishing four home runs on the way to their eventual 7-1 win. Josh Bell started in the first inning homering off Mets veteran starter Max Scherzer, before Trent Grisham's solo blast one inning later. In the fifth inning, Jurickson Profar went long to score three runs, minimizing the Mets hope of a comeback. Two at-bats later, Manny Machado rocketed a solo homer over the left-field wall to close his Club’s account and secure his Club their Game 1 win.
