After taking home a 2-1 victory in Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series, the Cleveland Guardians, in a 15-innings-long, marathon Game 2, edged out the Tampa Bay Rays, 1-0. The victory was a team effort, and the litany of Guardians hurllers who took the mound all contributed to the Club’s eventual shutout victory. In the bottom of the 15th inning, 24-year-old outfielder Oscar Gonzalez went long, sending his Guardians upward to the American League Division Series.
