Just moments after teammate Yordan Alvarez squared the contest, 5-5, Houston Astros veteran third baseman Alex Bregman plated the contest’s final run. With Yankees hurler Clay Holmes on the mound, Bregman fouled for two strikes, but was not deterred. Eventually, Bregman sent a single to right-center field, scoring teammate Jeremy Peña for a go-ahead run, and in hand, the game-winning play. Bregman was called on for his precision, and rose to the occasion, leading his Club to their World Series spot-clinching, 6-5, victory.
