Last night, in Game 6 of the 2022 World Series, Framber Valdez was called by his Houston Astros to take the mound for the second time in the series. Remarkably, Valdez picked up nine strikeouts over six innings, allowing just two hits in the process. What's more remarkable, however, is that five of these strikeouts were consecutive, making Valdez the first left-handed hurler since Sandy Koufax in 1963 to do so in a World Series contest.
