Last night, Bobby Witt Jr. hit the first home run of his Major League Baseball career in a game between his Kansas City Royals and the St. Louis Cardinals. In the second inning, the 21-year-old Colleyville, Texas native connected with a low pitch from Cardinals hurler Dakota Hudson to send the first longball of his career just over the left-center field wall. Interestingly, Witt's home run extended his consecutive game hitting streak to 11, and started the offense in his Club's eventual 7-1 win.
