Truly, it’s not over until it’s over, and last night, the New York Mets proved exactly that when they mounted a seemingly impossible seven-run, ninth-inning comeback to conquer the Philadelphia Phillies. Francisco Lindor smashed a two-run homer to start the parade of runs. Then, Mark Canha drove one runner home with a single, just before J.D. Davis drove in two with a double. Brandon Nimmo tied the game up with a single in the next at-bat, and Starling Marte’s RBI double gave the Mets the hard-fought win, 8-7.
