Josh Hader

In yesterday’s contest between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds, Major League Baseball history was made when Brewers hurler Josh Hader threw the 500th strikeout of his career. By doing so, Hader became the second-fastest pitcher to achieve this feat, doing so in just 293 and 2/3 innings, putting him just behind Aroldis Chapman with 292. The victim of Hader’s milestone strikeout was Reds left fielder Tommy Pham, who swung and missed on a 99-mph fastball to end the ballgame in the Brewers favor, 5-4.
