After winning the first three games of the 2014 American League Championship Series, the Kansas City Royals took home their first ALCS title in 29 years after besting the Baltimore Orioles, 2-1, in Game 4. The Royals and their fans were jubilant to put an end to this decades-spanning dry spell and were excited to compete in the World Series. Key performances from Lorenzo Cain, who finished the series with an astonishing .533 batting average, and Eric Hosmer, who notched six hits and three RBI, helped the Kansas City Club sweep the series.
