Matthew Liberatore has had quite the start to his Major League Baseball career, as the 22-year-old starting pitcher notched his first career-win in an 8-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday. Liberatore allowed no runs over the course of his five-inning stint on the mound, striking out an impressive six Brewers batters in the process. Although this was just Liberatore’s second MLB outing, his professionalism and control were unparalleled, and exactly what his Cardinals needed.
