While the St. Louis Cardinals offense was dealt a setback on Sunday afternoon thanks to a brilliant outing by Milwaukee Brewers starter Corbin Burnes, first baseman Paul Goldschmidt was still able to continue a personal best streak at the plate. The 34–year–old slugger safely reached base for the 34th straight game – a new career–high – and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
