Amazingly, the Cincinnati Reds took on the Red Sox at Fenway Park, and for the first time since the 1975 World Series, beat their hosts on their home turf. Reds right-hander Luis Castillo started the game with intensity, and kept the Red Sox to zero runs while striking out an impressive 10 Boston hitters in just six innings. After capitalizing on two Red Sox errors, the Reds took home the hard-fought, historic victory by a score of 2-1.
