Fastest on the track in exciting race

Carlos Sainz produced an excellent drive to take P2 and the fastest lap at the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2022. The Scuderia Ferrari driver started the race in P3 after a decent qualifying session. At the start he jumped ahead of Alonso and looked to be the only threat to a dominant Verstappen who was leading the race. When the Dutchman pitted, Sainz led the race briefly and saw an opportunity for a first victory when the safety car was deployed. With fresh tyres, Sainz did all he could to pile the pressure on Verstappen, setting a fastest lap but had to settle for the runner-up spot.
