First front-row start in a decade

Fernando Alonso achieves his first front-row for a decade at the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2022. The Spaniard was in sensational form during a wet and windy qualifying session, using all of his two decades driving experience to put himself at the front of the grid in P2. It meant Alonso was starting at the front of the grid for the first time since Germany 2012 and was the oldest driver to start there since Michael Schumacher a decade ago. The three-time world champion has been performing well with Alpine F1 Team and fans were glad to see him back at the front.
