Perfect weekend finishes with first F1 victory

Carlos Sainz enjoyed the perfect weekend claiming his first pole position and first-ever win in F1 at the FORMULA 1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2022. The Scuderia Ferrari driver was making his 150th start in Formula 1 and it could not have gone any better. The Spaniard was rapid in qualifying, setting the fastest time as he outpaced Verstappen, teammate Leclerc and Perez. The race itself was breath-taking with Sainz taking the lead from a safety car restart and maintaining that position skilfully to the end of the race to seal his maiden win. He becomes only the second Spanish driver to record a win in F1 and gives Scuderia Ferrari their 15th win at Silverstone.
