The Minnesota Twins made a unique piece of MLB fielding history after turning an 8-5 triple play, the first in American League & National League history, in yesterday's meeting with the Chicago White Sox. The historic play occurred in the seventh inning, and was generated by Twins center fielder Byron Buxton, who after making a catch on the warning track, rifled the ball to infielder Gio Urshela. Urshela then proceeded to make two outs, retiring the inning, and inching the Twins toward their eventual 6-3 victory.
