Mookie Betts becomes the first player in MLB history to win MVP, Silver Slugger and Gold Glove awards in the same season for both the American and National Leagues. Betts, who was traded from the Red Sox to the Dodgers in February, put together one of the most dominant seasons ever by a right fielder, hitting .292 with 39 home runs, 100 RBI and 15 stolen bases while playing elite defense with 11 defensive runs saved and a 10.2 ultimate zone rating. His efforts helped lead the Dodgers to the World Series, where he continued his stellar play with a .364 average, two homers and three RBI in the Fall Classic.
