Mookie Betts wasted little time getting the Dodgers on the board, slamming his 19th home run of the season in the bottom of the first inning. As he has often done in his MLB career, he did not stop there. Betts added his 20th home run of the season in the bottom of the eighth inning. The performance marked the outfielder's 19th time slugging multiple roundtrippers as the leadoff hitter, tying Alfonso Soriano for the MLB record for the most ever multi-home-run games from that spot in the lineup.
