In what was an incredibly competitive SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game yesterday, St. Louis Cardinals prospect Masyn Winn made a headline-generating infield throw in the second inning. The 20-year-old, Katy, Texas native's throw reached an astonishing 100.5 mph, which is 2.7 mph faster than the fastest MLB infield throw in the Statcast era. Winn's defensive capabilities are inspirational, and many are excited to see what the Cardinals prospect makes happen next.
