Yesterday, Gil Hodges was posthumously inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame and was honored by an incredible speech from his daughter Irene. Hodges, who was impressively humble, had never thought himself Hall-of-Fame material; however, his stats and inclusion on his Dodgers lineup for seven pennant-winning seasons, including two World Series titles, argues otherwise. Hodges had belted 361 home runs over the course of his Major League Baseball career, also notching seven consecutive 100-plus-RBI seasons.
