It’s official, 23-year-old phenom Juan Soto was acquired by the San Diego Padres just before the end of the 2022 MLB Trade Deadline in a blockbuster, nine-player deal. In exchange for Soto and Washington Nationals first baseman Josh Bell, the Padres have traded MacKenzie Gore, CJ Abrams, James Wood, Luke Voit, and more. San Diego hopes this historic deal propels the Club to new heights and adding one of the game’s brightest stars to their lineup is certainly a good start.
