In yesterday afternoon's meeting between the Kansas City Royals and the Boston Red Sox, rookie Royals catcher M.J. Melendez collected an astonishing six RBI on the way to his Club's 13-5 victory. Melendez's impressive RBI tally came courtesy of a third-inning RBI single, a pair of sacrifice flies in the seventh and eighth innings, and a climactic fifth-inning, three-run home run. Melendez has been a key piece to this newly refreshed Kansas City lineup, and interestingly, the 23-year-old Melendez has belted three longballs in his last three games.
