Before yesterday afternoon's contest between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays, the Yankees held a ceremony to retire Club-legend Paul O'Neill's number 21. O'Neill is the 23rd former Yankees player to have the honor of having his number retired by the franchise and is the first since Derek Jeter's in 2017. Truly, O'Neill was indispensable to his Yankees, helping the Club on to four World Series championships over his nine-year stint with the team.
