Last night, Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner passed a tremendous career milestone when he connected for the 1,000th hit of his Major League Baseball career in the 10th inning of his Club's bout with the Miami Marlins. The momentous hit was an infield single, a slow roller to third base, and was struck off Marlins hurler Huascar Brazoban. Turner's been on fire; in his last seven contest, he touts an impressive .411 batting average.
