As he often does, Shohei Ohtani smithed a unique piece of Major League Baseball history last night when he belted the 30th home run of his 2022 MLB campaign. The history-making, milestone homer was struck in the sixth inning of last night's meeting between his Angels and the New York Yankees. Coupled with his 11 wins on the season so far, this cemented Ohtani as the first player in MLB history to record 10 or more wins and 30 home runs in a single season, a mind-numbing feat. Furthermore, the home run was impactful on the contest, and helped his Club walk away with a 3-2 victory.
