Jay Buhner
First Mariners™ player to hit for the cycle
Jay Buhner - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 85 - PR: 238
JUNE 23, 1993 — Seattle Mariners outfielder Jay Buhner made franchise history when he hit for the first cycle in Club history, against the Oakland Athletics. Incredibly, in just the first inning of this contest, Buhner belted a grand slam, giving his Club an early and sizeable lead. When all was said and done, Buhner became just the sixth player in MLB history to smash a grand slam as part of his cycle-hitting performance.
