Last night, Gleyber Torres became just the fifth player in New York Yankees history to hit two home runs in the same inning. These historical homers were belted in the eighth inning of last night's meeting between Torres' Club and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Torres' first was a solo shot to right field, belted off Pirates hurler Miguel Yajure, and his second was a three-run blast to left off Eric Stout. His two longballs, combined with his fifth-inning RBI single, gave Torres five RBI en route to his Club's 14-2 victory.
