When yesterday afternoon’s meeting between his Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies came to an end, starting pitcher Kyle Wright was awarded the 20th win of his 2022 Major League Baseball campaign. Wright was on the mound for 5 and 1/3 innings and struck out six Phillies batters en route to his Club’s 6-3 victory. This made Wright just the seventh pitcher in Braves history to record 20 or more wins in a single season, and remarkably, the first since Russ Ortiz in 2003.
