New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso had an historic day at the plate on Sunday afternoon – finishing his day as the Mets single-season RBI record holder. The 27-year-old slugger had been on a rapid pace for plating runs all season and his five RBI yesterday sent him past the team milestone of 124 that was held by both Hall-of-Famer Mike Piazza and David Wright. "It's a huge honor," Alonso said. "I wouldn't be able to be in this position without my teammates."
