It’s not often that a Major League Baseball player’s first career home run was impactful as Ford Proctor’s was for the San Francisco Giants last night. In the second inning of the contest, which was played against the Colorado Rockies, Proctor launched a pitch from Ryan Feltner just over the left-field wall to notch the first home run of his MLB career. Furthermore, this impactful blast was a grand slam, making Proctor just the 16th player in franchise history to launch a grand slam for his first MLB home run.
