Staring up a 7-0 deficit by the middle of the second inning, things were looking bleak for Nelson Velázquez and his Chicago Cubs teammates early on Tuesday night - but this Club has a lot of fight in them. After a Trey Mancini home run and Eric Hosmer RBI single brought the Cubs within three runs, it was the 24-year-old rookie that got the Wrigley Field crowd on their feet. With the bases loaded, Velázquez blasted a 3-1 fastball deep into the left field bleachers, putting his team ahead for the first time of the night. The Cubs used this momentum to ultimately defeat the Seattle Mariners, 14-9.
