Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso secures a second-place finish in Monte Carlo – his best F1® finish since 2014. The Spaniard has been in electric form this year, pushing the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team car to its limits. A brilliant qualifying placed Alonso P2 on the grid and an excellent drive in sometimes treacherous conditions secured a podium position in Monte Carlo. The result matches Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team's best finish in F1® and puts Alonso third in the 2023 FIA Formula 1® Drivers' World Championship – 12 points off Sergio Perez in second place.
