After yesterday's 8-3 win over the Houston Astros, the Tampa Bay Rays improved their League-best record to 20-3 and made an incredible piece of history in the process. The bout was the 14th Rays home game of the 2023 Major League Baseball campaign, and their 14th win at Tropicana Field. This fateful and historic victory, highlighted by an otherworldly baredhanded catch from Wander Franco and a four-run bottom of the third inning, broke a tie with the 2009 Los Angeles Dodgers for the longest season-opening, home-game win streak in the modern era.
