Wander Franco

While his powerful bat has been his calling card early in his Major League career, Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco dazzled fans with a defensive gem during last night's contest versus Houston. In the top of the fifth inning, Astros catcher Martín Maldonado sent a pop fly into foul territory along the third base side. Franco tracked the ball's flight and made a leaping attempt, missing with his glove, but miraculously snagging the ball with his barehand instead.
