George Russell

George Russell claimed his first podium of the season at the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2023. The Englishman had started the race in P12 and produced an excellent start to put himself in podium contention. He continued to push throughout the race making a daring move on Scuderia Ferrari's Carlos Sainz to take third place. The upgrades Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team had made to their car were clearly working and Russell looked comfortable throughout. He eventually took P3 at the chequered flag to claim his first podium of 2023; the first of what could be many if driver and car keep producing these performances.
