During the night game of yesterday's day/night doubleheader clash with the Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates instant fan favorite Drew Maggi notched the first hit and RBI of his Major League Baseball career. Maggi, a new addition to the Pirates lineup and a 13-year veteran of Minor League Baseball, squeezed one up the middle in the seventh inning, sparking instant applause from the crowd at Nationals Park. What's more, Maggi's RBI single played its humble part in what was eventually a massive victory for his Club, 17-1.
