Welcome to the league, rookie! On a loaded San Diego Padres team, it’s easy for Brett Sullivan to get lost in the shuffle. The 29-year-old journeyman finally got the call to the Majors after eight seasons in the Minors last month and had his best game thus far on Wednesday. Starting in the second inning, Sullivan got his team on the board with a two-run double. But he was just getting warmed up. Two innings later in the fourth, the catcher smashed the first home run of his MLB career. His offense helped the Padres cruise to an easy 7-1 win.
