As part of yesterday afternoon’s bout between the Chicago Cubs and the Washington Nationals, 24-year-old catching prospect Miguel Amaya made his long-awaited Major League Baseball debut. What’s more, in the eighth inning, with his Club down two runs, Amaya sliced Washington’s lead in half with a clutch sacrifice fly, notching the first RBI of his MLB career. Despite the Cubs ultimately taking home a loss, 4-3, Amaya’s debut still gave the Club’s fans something to celebrate.
