Mitch Keller was dealing for the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night as they played host to the Colorado Rockies. The ace had batters swinging at ghosts throughout the game, recording eight strikeouts and allowing only four hits in his first career complete game shutout. The “big dog” performance, as Pirates manager Derek Shelton described it, helped lead the team to a 2-0 win, improving the Club’s record to 21-15. This was the first CG SHO by a Pirates pitcher since Jameson Taillon did the trick back on April 8, 2018.
