Casey Schmitt

It’s safe to say San Francisco Giants rookie Casey Schmitt has been the Club’s hottest hitter this past week. The rookie impressed once again on Thursday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks, going 4-4 from the batter’s box. Schmitt got things started in his first at-bat, blasting a 443-foot homer over the wall in left field. He added in two singles and a double before the night was through, giving him eight hits through his first three games, tying for the most by a Giants player with Hall-of-Famer Willie McCovey.
