In a showdown with the visiting Tampa Bay Rays, Volpe passed Yankees legend and Hall-of-Famer Joe DiMaggio for most successful steals to start a career in pinstripes, now standing a perfect 13-for-13. DiMaggio swiped a dozen between the 1936 and 1938 seasons.
