Lourdes Gurriel Jr. delivered a clutch two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Toronto Blue Jays past the Seattle Mariners, 5-4, on June 23, 2023. Batting with two outs and the bases loaded, Gurriel Jr. drove in the go-ahead runs on a 2-2 pitch, capping off a wild comeback after the Mariners had taken a 4-2 lead in the top half of the inning. The Blue Jays improved to 42-35 with the dramatic walk-off victory at Rogers Centre.
