AJ Smith-Shawver made his Major League Baseball debut yesterday and the premiere outing was a sign of great things to come. In two and one-third innings of relief, the 20-year-old right-hander fanned three batters, including Arizona Diamondbacks phenom Corbin Carroll, for the very first of his big-league career. What's more, Smith-Shawver allowed no hits, and his first inning was a memorable, one-two-three frame. To make the already memorable moment even sweeter, the Braves left the field with a comeback victory, 8-5.
