Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen made it nine wins in a row with victory at the FORMULA 1 DUTCH GRAND PRIX 2023. Verstappen claimed the win at his home Grand Prix™ after a chaotic race punctuated by safety cars, a red flag and torrential rain. The Dutchman started on pole but had to switch tyres early on, losing ground to his Oracle Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Perez. Battling back from fourth, Verstappen soon took the lead and was cruising to victory. However, a late red flag meant there was a tricky restart to navigate first. Verstappen held on though for a memorable victory in front of thousands of cheering fans. He now has nine consecutive race victories – equalling Alberto Ascari and Sebastian Vettel's record.
