Liam Lawson

Liam Lawson made his F1® debut, standing in for Daniel Ricciardo at the FORMULA 1 DUTCH GRAND PRIX 2023. The New Zealander makes his long-awaited debut after impressing in the junior championships. With Daniel Ricciardo out due to a fractured hand, Lawson was in the hot seat in Zandvoort. It was a baptism of fire as chaotic weather conditions and multiple stoppages meant Lawson had to be at his best to bring the car home. Battling from the back of the grid, Lawson more than held his own with his F1® peers despite penalties and treacherous rain. He ultimately finished P13 in what he will hope will be the first of many appearances in F1®.
