Atlanta Braves starter AJ Smith-Shawver did something on Thursday night that the Club hadn’t seen the likes of in 33 years. The 20-year-old took the mound for his second career start against the Colorado Rockies and worked five and two-thirds innings, striking out six batters and leading his team to an 8-3 win - his first big-league triumph. More importantly, he became the youngest pitcher since Steve Avery in 1990 to earn a victory for the team.
