Gabriel Bortoleto

18-year-old Gabriel Bortoleto secured the FIA Formula 3™ championship at the final round of the calendar in Monza. It is the Brazilian's first season in Formula 3™ and what a campaign it's been. The Trident driver only had to ensure his title rivals didn't secure pole position at Monza to put him out of reach. It was a much-interrupted qualifying session but rivals Paul Aron and Josep Maria Martí could not find pace and Bortoleto's teammate Oliver Goethe secured pole to give the Brazilian the championship. A fantastic achievement for the youngster and the potential emergence of a new Brazilian motor racing superstar.
