巴拿馬

Playing in front of Panamanian baseball legend Mariano Rivera, who threw out the ceremonial first pitch in a pregame ceremony, an inspired Team Panama recorded their very first World Baseball Classic victory. The team squashed Team Chinese Taipei to the tune of 12-5, collecting 14 hits and seeing seven different players drive home at least one run. As a team brimming with professional talent, Panama could be a squad to watch throughout the tournament.
