First Female F1 Test Driver In Five Years

Jessica Hawkins becomes the first female F1 test driver in five years. The 28-year-old drove 26 laps in the AMR21 for Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team at the Hungaroring to achieve the milestone. She becomes the first woman to test a modern car in the sport since Tatiana Calderón in 2018. A former British karting champion and W Series competitor, Hawkins was testing the car ahead of supporting Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team's entry into the all-female F1 Academy series next year.
