The veteran pitcher’s career-night on the mound had the opportunity to be even better if he could get through the final inning scoreless. The hurler did just that, moving down the next three batters and earning himself his first MLB complete game shutout. López was nearly flawless in his showing, striking out a career-high 12 batters with no walks on 100 pitches.
